With a roller skating floor dimension of 180ft by 80ft and a surface made of maple with the latest synthetic coating, it is one of Michigan's largest and premiere rinks. The building covers 14,400 square feet and has been expanded multiple times, including the addition of a restaurant called "The Wheel House Grill". The Roll Arena is also nationally known, due to USA Today's article "10 great places to let good times roll on skates" in which we were featured in it. The Roll Arena also has its own speed skating team, The Midland Rockets. ![]() The owner David "Captain Dave" Schafer is not famous because he sailed the seven seas looking for pirate treasure.
